All You Have To Lose Is The PAIN!

Have you been suffering from pain and there seems to be no relief or answers in sight?  My husband was recently in this state.  He had two crushed discs in his back from an injury when he was in college.  Recently, his nerves became inflamed and he suffered immensely from sciatica pain.

From all the research we did, we learned that back surgery was definitely not the answer.  Many people said it made them worse and they ended up suffering more.  Pain pills didn’t seem to even put a dent in the pain at times.

But we found answers that worked.  He’s in a process of healing, but we can say this protocol definitely works.  If you are suffering from pain, why not give this a try?  You have nothing to lose but the pain.  Here’s what my husband is doing.

Vitamin C

Take between 10,000 and 30,000 mg a day.  I  know that seems huge but it works.  In order to consume this much C, you will need to get powdered vitamin C and mix a teaspoon at a time in water.  We tried buffered C and it didn’t work.  What works is pure vitamin C crystals. We’re using Allergy Research, cassava root source. Most days my husband doesn’t even come close to getting that much vitamin C consumed.  But on the days when he’s been too busy to get half or less vitamin C, he really notices the pain.  As soon as we mix some powdered C in water, and about 20-30 minutes after drinking it, the pain begins to subside a bit.

Curcumin

Curcumin is the pigment that gives the spice turmeric its yellow-orange color.  It has been shown in studies to relieve inflammation and its irritating effects on tissue. NSAIDS, which most people take for pain, cause gastrointestinal problems, whereas curcumin is health enhancing.  One study shows that it can “regulate numerous transcription factors, cytokines, protein kinases, adhesion molecules, redox status and enzymes that have been linked to inflammation.” 1

It has been shown to inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX-2), lipoxygenase (LOX) and inducible nitric oxide (iNOS).” So what does all that mean? Well, COX-2, LOX, and iNOS are enzymes that bring about the inflammatory processes in the body. Curcumin inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a), interleukin (IL) -1, -2, -6, -8, and -12, monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP).  That spells pain reduction for you.

Cat’s Claw

Cat’s claw has powerful antioxidants that subdue peroxyl and superoxide radicals in their tracks. Laboratory studies show that the antioxidant power of cat’s claw exceeds many medicinal plants. Cat’s claw is a potent anti-inflammatory, which inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor-alpha, an inflammatory substance that sets you up for both acute and chronic inflammation. Cat’s claw also inhibits the activation of nuclear factor-kappa beta, an inflammatory “on switch” that is associated with cancer and other deadly diseases.  Also, cat’s claw decreases the release of prostaglandin E2, an inflammatory mediator associated with conditions such as arthritis.

Vitamin D

A study published in Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care (SJPHC) supports the findings published in other publications on vitamin D as a possible treatment for chronic pain. “It describes a high prevalence of hypovitaminosis D in patients with non-specific musculoskeletal pain, headache, and fatigue. The conclusion is that general practitioners should maintain awareness of hypovitaminosis D in these patients. Vitamin D supply is defined by sun exposure and dietary intake, which may be affected by work, economy, culture, diseases etc.2

swingLymphasizer

Moving stagnant lymph is a key a relieving pain. As you increase lymphatic flow, you will cause fluid and protein to move away from inflamed areas so that fresh lymph, loaded with oxygen and nutrients needed for tissue repair, can replace it.  The Swing Machine, also known as the lymphasizer, is very helpful in achieving this goal.

Acupuncture

An international team of experts found that acupuncture “does provide real relief from common forms of pain. The team pooled the results of 29 studies involving nearly 18,000 participants. Some had acupuncture, some had “sham” acupuncture, and some didn’t have acupuncture at all. Overall, acupuncture relieved pain by about 50%. The results were published in Archives of Internal Medicine.”3

  1. Cherie – Could you please share what dosage your hubby is using of the Vitamin D, Cat’s Claw, and Curcumin? Great article, but would appreciate knowing the above. Thanks so much. C 🙂

    • He’s taking 5,000 to 10,000 mg a day of Vit. D; 2-3 caps of Cat’s Claw, and 2 caps of curcumin.

I noted the dosage information. Can you also provide the brand name being used? Thank you.

        • We use Thorne for Vit D. I think it is synthetic. Cat’s Claw –Nature’s Wa. Cur cumin–Now.

Does that much C cause loose bowels

  3. I get confused when so many talk about taking tumeric and so many talk about taking curcumin. Which one is better to take for inflammation and pain? And what brand is the best? Or can you just buy the spice in bulk?
    Thanks.

    • Get fresh turmeric root or buy curcumin in capsule form. We do both. Take according to label directions.

Other than for the Vitamin C, no dosages are recommended based upon your husband’s experience. Can you please provide? Thank you.

  5. Can you give the brands of the vitamins he uses? Also I have heard that Vitamin D in pill form is synthetic?
    Thank you.

    • I don’t know where you can purchase the Lymphasizer in Australia. To have it shipped there would be very expensive. You might do an online search.

  9. Cherries, please explain….HYPOVIT.D if you have no pain….not to take vit. D? Or just by food&sun???

  10. I don’t understand why you bother to publish this regiment and don’t give suggested dosages for each item. Can you give specifics for each item you recommended?

    • Take each of the supplements according to label directions. Take 10,000 to 30,000 mg per day.

  11. Cherie, I trust and follow your work on It’s Supernatural as well as your emailed newsletter and I have several of your books. Thank you for your work to see people become well. However, one word of advice… avoid acupuncture. I’m now reading the 4th of Rebecca Brown ,M.D.’s books. She has been in ministry which practices deliverance for people coming out of a particular following. Acupuncture is a doorway to be controlled demonically. I’m sorry I don’t remember which book addressed that issue. People perish for lack of knowledge, physically, and spiritually.

  12. Your husband might want to look into Quantum Neurology (http://quantumneurology.com/) and cold laser therapy devices I’m trying Neurolumen device.
