The liver or gallbladder is not to blame for every single symptom listed here. However, if your liver/gallbladder is clogged, it will affect other organs and systems of your body and definitely your digestive system. The liver must produce at least 1.5 liters of bile per day in order to maintain a healthy digestive system and efficiently send nutrients to all the cells of your body. The gallbladder concentrates and stores the bile. Gallstones can prevent bile from reaching your intestinal tract. Then you get digestive problems such as constipation. This congestion also hinders detoxification and stresses your liver and ultimately your entire body.

When you do a liver/gallbladder cleanse you can help prevent disease and promote better health.

  1. Heart disease and high cholesterol. High LDL cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease. High cholesterol is the result of liver congestion and poor diet and lifestyle. Side effects of Statin drugs can cause kidney failure, liver disease, muscle disease or heart failure.
  2. Rebalance weight & eliminate fluid retention. Stones in the liver prevent the hormones estrogen and aldosterone from being broken down and detoxified. These hormones regulate water balance and water retention is actually the biggest problem for overweight people, far more so than body fat. Removing gallbladder stones and liver stones will rebalance weight through the balancing of salt and water in the body. A clean liver will burn fat while it also efficiently distributes fuel to all the cells of your body.
  3. Resolve constipation. Free flowing bile is essential to de-acidify and cleanse the intestines. A liver full of stones will prevent free flowing bile, which may be the underlying cause of any constipation problems.
  4. Emotional.  Emotional issues relating to anger, frustration, resentment or emotional attachment are signs of liver congestion. Someone with an impulsive or explosive personality or with extreme mood swings such as in manic depression, bipolar disorder or excessive irritability is displaying liver dysfunction. Cleansing the liver and gallbladder will allow an opportunity for transformation both physically and emotionally, letting go of aggression, mental rigidity and negative feelings.

I just did my second gallbladder flush in two weeks. The first time my body only released 3 stones. This second time it released somewhere between 2 and 3 dozen stones about the size of capers. (You will know they are stones because they float. However, liver stones tend to be darker and do not float) Size does not matter when it comes to stones. The stones can be troublesome no matter how big or small they are. Most stones are called “silent stones,” in that they cause no pain or typical gallbladder problems. But they produce other symptoms such as those listed above.

I highly recommend you do the 30-day detox, which includes the liver/gallbladder cleanse in week 2. If you do not have a gallbladder, you need this cleanse even more. It begins Monday. I also highly recommend you get the Internal Cleanse Kit with the Free Colon Cleanse Kit so that you will have all the products you need for an effective cleanse, including the liver gallbladder cleanse. If you order now, you will not have the kit for Monday. You can start the next week with the group that will just be getting their kits.

Today’s Recipe

BONE BROTH

Bone broth is excellent for colon health.

  • 4–5 grass-fed beef bones, chicken bones, or any mixture of bones from wild or pasture-raised, healthy animals (if using beef bones, I prefer meaty beef shank)
  • Purified water
  • 1 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Place bones into a large soup pot or crockpot. Fill your pot with filtered water to cover the bones. Add the vinegar, carrot, onion, and garlic. Turn your heat on low for the soup pot or set your crockpot on low. Simmer for 24 hours. (I put my soup pot in the oven at 200 degrees overnight.) Poultry bones can simmer as long as 24 hours, and beef bones can simmer for up to 48 hours. Use tongs to remove the bones, and then pour the broth through a sieve into storage containers. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Store in the refrigerator. It should keep for 5–7 days, or you can freeze it for later. Skim fat layer off the top, if it forms.
